Student Research Assistants

 
Anna Hoffman

Anna Hoffman is a graduate of the Communication, Culture, and Technology (CCT) at Georgetown University. Her thesis titled Parent Reports of Children’s Parasocial Relationships with Conversational Agents: Trusted Voices in Children’s Lives, was defended with distinction, and is being presented at the Association for Psychological Sciences. She was the managing editor of gnovis, CCT’s peer-reviewed journal. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Communication Studies from Kent State University and has spent the past four years working in the media industry across marketing, customer experience, and UX research. She hopes to continue blend her passions for media and user-centered research as she continues her studies and her career. 

 

 

 

Undergraduate Research Assistants

 

Molly Bidermann


Undergraduate Research Assistant Molly graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Psychology. Outside of the CDMC, Molly works at Georgetown’s on campus daycare, Hoya Kids, as well as Georgetown’s Office of Residential Living. Molly hopes to pursue a career that can incorporate her interests in psychology with her passion for working with children.

 

 
 
Christina Duval


Undergraduate Research Assistant Christina graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Justice and Peace Studies. Outside of the CDMC, Christina is involved in theater, ballroom, and No Lost Generation, a refugee rights club.  She hopes to go to graduate school for clinical psychology and work with trauma survivors.

 
 
Gretchen McCarthy


Undergraduate Research Assistant Gretchen graduated from Georgetown University with B.A.s in government and psychology and a minor in Spanish. Outside of the CDMC, Gretchen is a member of the Georgetown University Sailing Team. Gretchen is interested in combining her interests in psychology and public policy to work on education policy in the future.

 
 
Maddy Forbess


Undergraduate Research Assistant Maddy graduated from Georgetown University with B.A.s in Psychology and English. Outside of the CDMC, Maddy plays on the Women’s Squash Team and writes for the Women in Leadership club on campus. She hopes to apply her interests in psychology to her passion for continued learning as an advocate for children’s education.

 
 
Jennifer Blackwood


Undergraduate Research Assistant Jennifer is a senior at Georgetown University and is majoring in Psychology. Outside of the CDMC, Jennifer works at Georgetown’s on campus daycare, Hoya Kids. Additionally, she is the School Liaison for Hoya Helpers, a student run club that tutors 6th and 7th graders at Hardy Middle School. In the future, Jennifer hopes to attend medical school and continue to help children in her professional career.
