Team Members
Alice Ann received a B.S. in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her MA and completed her doctoral work in
Developmental Psychology at the University of Connecticut. She is interested in the effect of input, from mothers and media, on children's social-cognitive development (specifically their theory of mind development).
Alexis
Lauricella is a PhD Candidate in the Human Development and Public
Policy track of the Psychology department at Georgetown University.
She developed an interest in developmental psychology and
media through her undergraduate work at the University of Massachusetts,
Amherst and her experience at Sesame Workshop.
Amanda is a second-year student in the joint Psychology PhD and
Master of Public Policy program. Her main research focus is the
effects of media and food marketing on childhood obesity. She previously
conducted obesity-related research at the Pennington Biomedical
Research Center. Amanda graduated magna cum laude from Louisiana
State University in 2007, receiving a BS in Psychology and minors
in Nutritional Science and Sociology.
Chrissy is a second-year master's student in General Psychology
at Catholic University. She majored in Film and Media Arts at American
University with a minor in Psychology. Her primary research interests
include the media's impact on child and adolescent self image and psychological
portrayals in television and film production.
Christine graduated cum laude from Georgetown University in 2008,
double-majoring in Government and Psychology. Her research interests
include the intersection of policy and children’s media. She
is currently a full-time research assistant at the CDMC and will
serve as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa beginning in July
2009.
Georgia is a Junior in Georgetown College, majoring in Psychology.
Her research interests range from children's educational media to
marketing psychology. She will be completing an honors thesis as
part of the 2008-2009 Psychology Honors Program.
Marta is a Junior in Georgetown College pursuing a Psychology major
and Biology minor with a Pre-Medical program. Her research interests
include childhood development and fitness and health. She is excited
to be working with these issues in the CDMC lab.
Alex is a sophomore in Georgetown College, majoring in Psychology
and Linguistics. His research interests are primarily children's
interaction with technology and early childhood development.
