Bradley Bond, Ph.D.
Post-Doctoral Fellow

Bradley Bond received a BA (’04) in communication from Bradley University before completing his MA (’06) and PhD (’11) in the Department of Communication at the University of Illinois. Dr. Bond’s focus is on media psychology; his research examines the relationship between media exposure and sexual identity development during adolescence. He is currently working on multiple National Science Foundation-funded projects examining the media experience during early childhood.

 
Melissa Richards, B.A.
Graduate Research Assistant

Melissa is a second year graduate student in the Human Development and Public Policy track of the Psychology PhD program. Her work at The Children’s Digital Media Center examines the ways that children can learn and benefit from using various types of media outlets. Melissa became interested in this subject area after working as a research assistant at Yale University’s Social Cognitive Development Lab, interning at a television station, and conducting undergraduate research on media’s effects on youth sleep patterns. She received a BA in Psychology and Sociology from the College of the Holy Cross in 2010.

 
Bryce Walker, Ed.M.
Technology Intern

Bryce is interning with CDMC from George Washington University. He is a third year doctoral candidate in the Curriculum & Instruction program in the Graduate School of Education & Human Development. His work at The Children's Digital Media Center for the Fall 2011 semester is to develop interactive video applications for touchscreen tablets. He is also helping provide recruitment in DC public schools. Bryce is a former K-8 Art and Technology teacher. He became interested in children digital media while receiving his Master's degree in Educational Media & Technology from Boston University. He has done previous internships with WGBH, the PBS affiliate in Massachusetts and SixRedMarbles, a for-profit software development company located in Cambridge, MA. In addition, Bryce received his BFA from Brigham Young University in Art Education.

 
Monica Perrigino
Undergraduate Research Assistant

Monica is senior in the College, pursuing a double major in Psychology and English. She is particularly interested in childhood development and has enjoyed exploring this subject through her work at the CDMC. She hopes to attend law school after completing her coursework and wishes to specialize in family law, specifically concentrating on issues concerning child advocacy.

 
Elizabeth Seaman
Undergraduate Research Assistant

Elizabeth is a senior in Georgetown College. Elizabeth is persuing a Psychology major, Pre-Medicine Concentration and Cognitive Science and Theatre and Performance Studies double minor. Elizabeth is very interested in cognition, childhood development and clinical psychiatry. Elizabeth is very excited to work with the CDMC team!

 

Jacqueline Pasulka
Undergraduate Research Assistant

Jacqueline is a senior in Georgetown College pursuing a Psychology major, Biology minor and Pre-Medicine Concentration. She is very interested in childhood health and development and would like to go into pediatrics in the future. She really enjoys working in the CDMC and is excited to be a part of the team!

 

Courtney Kent
Undergraduate Research Assistant

Courtney is a recent graduate of Georgetown College, where she earned a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. She is particularly interested in clinical psychology and childhood development. She is very excited to work with the CDMC team!
Alessandra Caruso
Undergraduate Research Assistant

Alessandra Caruso is a junior at Georgetown College. She is majoring in psychology, with a minor in French. She hopes to pursue clinical psychology in the future, concentrating primarily on childhood and adolescent development. Alessandra is extremely excited to be working with the CDMC team!

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Maggie is a senior psychology major, philosophy minor in Georgetown College. She is particularly interested in children's education. She is also a big fan of DoDo!

 

Brian Borromeo
Undergraduate Research Assistant

Hey! I'm Brian, a Georgetown senior who is majoring in psychology and double minoring in philosophy and economics. I also love exploring the outdoors on my trusty bike. And of course, I am very excited to be working with the awesome team at the CDMC!
